Sahih Muslim 2779c – Hadith auf Arabisch und Deutsch

Abū Tufail berichtete, dass es zwischen Hudhaifa und einem der Leute von al-ʿAqaba, wie es unter Menschen vorkommt, zu einem Streit kam. Er sagte: „Ich beschwöre dich bei Allah, mir zu sagen, wie viele Menschen von al-ʿAqaba es waren.“ Die Leute sagten zu ihm – zu Hudhaifa –, er solle ihm antworten, da er ihn darum gebeten hatte. Er sagte: „Uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass es vierzehn waren. Wenn du zu ihnen gezählt wirst, dann wären es fünfzehn. Und ich schwöre bei Allah, dass zwölf von ihnen in dieser Welt Feinde Allahs und Seines Gesandten (ﷺ) waren. Die übrigen drei brachten diese Entschuldigung vor: ‚Wir hörten den Aufruf des Gesandten Allahs (ﷺ) nicht und wussten nichts von der Absicht der Leute, da er sich in der heißen Gegend befunden hatte.‘“ Darauf sagte er (der heilige Prophet): „Das Wasser an der nächsten Station ist knapp. Daher soll niemand vor mir vorausgehen.“ Doch er fand Menschen vor, die ihm vorausgegangen waren, und verfluchte sie an jenem Tag.

Abu Tufail reported that there was a dispute between Hudhaifa and one from the people of Aqaba as it happens amongst people. He said: I adjure you by Allah to tell me as to how many people from Aqaba were. The people said to him (Hudhaifa) to inform him as he had asked. We have been informed that they were fourteen and If you are to be counted amongst them, then they would be fifteen and I state by Allah that twelve amongst them were the enemies of Allah and of His Messenger (ﷺ) in this world. The rest of the three put forward this excuse: We did not hear the announcement of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and we were not aware of the intention of the people as he (the Holy Prophet) had been in the hot atmosphere. He (the Holy Prophet) then said: The water is small in quantity (at the next station). So nobody should go ahead of me, but he found people who had gone ahead of him and he cursed them on that day.
