Die Aussage Allahs, des Allerhöchsten: „Und nehmt Reisevorräte mit – wahrlich, der beste Reisevorrat ist Gottesfurcht.“ (2:197)The Statement of Allah Most High: "And take ˹necessary˺ provisions ˹for the journey˺—surely the best provision is righteousness." (2:197)بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى}

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بِشْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ، عَنْ وَرْقَاءَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ كَانَ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ يَحُجُّونَ وَلاَ يَتَزَوَّدُونَ وَيَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ، فَإِذَا قَدِمُوا مَكَّةَ سَأَلُوا النَّاسَ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى ‏Qur’an 2:197{‏وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى‏}‏‏.‏ رَوَاهُ ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ مُرْسَلاً‏.‏

Ibn ʿAbbās berichtete:

Die Menschen aus dem Jemen pflegten zum Hadsch zu kommen, ohne ausreichende Reisevorräte mitzunehmen, und sagten, dass sie auf Allah vertrauten. Wenn sie in Medina ankamen, pflegten sie die Menschen um Almosen zu bitten. Daraufhin offenbarte Allah: „Und nehmt Vorrat für die Reise mit; doch der beste Vorrat ist die Gottesfurcht.“ (2:197)

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

The people of Yemen used to come for Hajj and used not to bring enough provisions with them and
used to say that they depend on Allah. On their arrival in Medina they used to beg the people, and so
Allah revealed, "And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is the fear of
Allah." (2.197).
