Derjenige, dem Allah etwas gibt, ohne dass er darum bittet oder danach gierig istThe one whom Allah gives something without his asking for it, or without avarice for itباب مَنْ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ شَيْئًا مِنْ غَيْرِ مَسْأَلَةٍ وَلاَ إِشْرَافِ نَفْسٍ

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُعْطِينِي الْعَطَاءَ فَأَقُولُ أَعْطِهِ مَنْ هُوَ أَفْقَرُ إِلَيْهِ مِنِّي فَقَالَ ‏"‏ خُذْهُ، إِذَا جَاءَكَ مِنْ هَذَا الْمَالِ شَىْءٌ، وَأَنْتَ غَيْرُ مُشْرِفٍ وَلاَ سَائِلٍ، فَخُذْهُ، وَمَا لاَ فَلاَ تُتْبِعْهُ نَفْسَكَ ‏"‏‏.‏

Überliefert von ʿUmar:

Der Gesandte Allahs (ﷺ) pflegte mir etwas zu geben, doch ich sagte zu ihm: „Würdest du es nicht jemandem geben, der ärmer und bedürftiger ist als ich?“ Der Prophet (Allahs Segen und Frieden seien auf ihm) sagte zu mir: „Nimm es. Wenn dir etwas von diesem Vermögen gegeben wird, ohne dass du darum gebeten oder danach begehrt hast, dann nimm es; und wenn es dir nicht gegeben wird, dann strebe nicht danach.“

Narrated `Umar:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to give me something but I would say to him, "would you give it to a poorer and
more needy one than l?" The Prophet ﷺ said to me, "Take it. If you are given something from
this property, without asking for it or having greed for it take it; and if not given, do not run for it."
