Mahmūd bin Ghaylān berichtete uns: Abū Dāwūd berichtete uns. Er sagte: Schuʿba sagte zu mir: „Geh zu Jarīr bin Hāzim und sage ihm: ‚Es ist dir nicht erlaubt, von al-Hasan bin Umāra zu überliefern, denn er lügt.‘“ Abū Dāwūd sagte: Ich fragte Schuʿba: „Und woher weißt du das?“ Da sagte er: „Er überlieferte uns von al-Hakam Dinge, für die keine Grundlage gefunden wurde.“ [Abū Dāwūd] sagte: „Welche Dinge?“ [Schuʿba] sagte: Ich fragte al-Hakam: „Hat der Prophet, Allahs Segen und Frieden seien auf ihm, für die Märtyrer von Uhud das Totengebet verrichtet?“ [Al-Hakam] sagte: „Er verrichtete es nicht für sie.“ Al-Hasan bin Umāra sagte, über al-Hakam, über Miqsam, über Ibn ʿAbbās: „Der Prophet, Allahs Segen und Frieden seien auf ihm, verrichtete für sie das Totengebet und bestattete sie.“ Ich [Schuʿba] sagte zu al-Hakam: „Was sagst du über die Kinder, die aus Unzucht geboren wurden?“ [Al-Hakam] sagte: „Verrichtet für sie das Totengebet.“ Ich [Schuʿba] sagte: „Auf wessen Hadith wird dies zurückgeführt?“ [Al-Hakam] sagte: „Es wird über al-Hasan al-Basrī überliefert.“ Al-Hasan bin Umāra sagte: „Al-Hakam überlieferte uns über Yahyā bin al-Jazzār über ʿAlī.“

Mahmūd bin Ghaylān narrated to us, Abū Dāwud narrated to us, he said, Shu’bah said to me: ‘Go to Jarīr bin Hāzim and say to him, ‘It is not allowed for you to transmit from al-Hasan bin Umārah for indeed he lies’.’ Abū Dāwud said, I said to Shu’bah: ‘And how do you know that?’ So [Shu’bah] said: ‘He narrated to us on authority of al-Hakam things that were not found to have any basis’. [Abū Dāwud] said: ‘What things?’ [Shu’bah] said, I said to al-Hakam: ‘Did the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, pray over the martyrs of Uhud?’ [al-Hakam] said: ‘He did not pray over them’. Al-Hasan bin Umārah said, on authority of al-Hakam, on authority of Miqsam, on authority of Ibn Abbās: ‘Indeed the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, prayed over them and buried them ’. I [Shu’bah] said to al-Hakam: ‘What do you say about the children born from fornication?’ [Al-Hakam] said: ‘Pray over them ’. I [Shu’bah] said: ‘From whose Ḥadīth is it transmitted?’ [Al-Hakam] said: ‘It is transmitted on authority of al-Hasan al-Basrī’.’ Al-Hasan bin Umārah said: ‘Al-Hakam narrated to us, on authority of Yahyā bin al-Jazzār, on authority of Alī.
