Sahih Muslim 2462 – Die Vorzüge von ʿAbdullah ibn Masʿūd und seiner Mutter (RA)

ʿAbdullah (ibn Masʿūd) berichtete, dass er seinen Gefährten sagte, sie sollten ihre Abschriften des Qurʾān verbergen, und ferner sagte: „Wer etwas verbirgt, muss am Tag der Auferstehung das hervorbringen, was er verborgen hat.“ Dann sagte er: „Nach wessen Rezitationsweise soll ich eurer Aufforderung gemäß rezitieren? Ich habe tatsächlich mehr als siebzig Suren des Qurʾān vor dem Gesandten Allahs (ﷺ) rezitiert, und die Gefährten des Gesandten Allahs (ﷺ) wissen, dass ich ein besseres Verständnis des Buches Allahs habe als sie. Und wenn ich wüsste, dass jemand ein besseres Verständnis davon hätte als ich, würde ich zu ihm gehen.“

Shaqīq sagte: „Ich saß in Gesellschaft der Gefährten Muhammads (ﷺ), doch ich hörte niemanden, der dies – das heißt, seine Rezitation – zurückwies oder daran einen Fehler beanstandete.“

'Abdullah (b. Mas'ud) reported that he (said to his companions to conceal their copies of the Qur'an) and further said: He who conceals anything he shall have to bring that which he had concealed on the Day of judgment, and then said: After whose mode of recitation you command me to recite? I in fact recited before AIlah's Messenger (ﷺ) more than seventy chapters of the Qur'an and the Companions of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) know it that I have better understanding of the Book of Allah (than they do), and if I were to know that someone had better understanding than I, I would have gone to him. Shaqiq said: I sat in the company of the Companions of Mubkmmad (ﷺ) but I did not hear anyone having rejected that (that is, his recitation) or finding fault with it.
