Sunan Abi Dawud 804 – Die Verkürzung der letzten beiden Rakʿāt

Abū Saʿīd al-Chudrī sagte: Wir pflegten zu schätzen, wie lange der Gesandte Allahs (ﷺ) im Mittags- und Nachmittagsgebet stand, und wir schätzten, dass er in den ersten beiden Rakʿahs des Mittagsgebets so lange stand, wie es dauert, dreißig Verse aus dem Qurʾān zu rezitieren, etwa „Alif-Lām-Mīm. Die Offenbarung dieses Buches …“, die Sura as-Sadschda. Und wir schätzten, dass er in den letzten beiden Rakʿahs halb so lange stand wie in den ersten beiden Rakʿahs. Wir schätzten, dass er in den ersten beiden Rakʿahs des Nachmittagsgebets so lange stand wie in den letzten beiden Rakʿahs des Mittagsgebets; und wir schätzten, dass er in den letzten beiden Rakʿahs des Nachmittagsgebets halb so lange stand wie in den ersten beiden.

Abu sa’id al Khudri said: We used to estimate how long the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood in the noon and the afternoon prayer, and we estimated that he stood in the first two rak’ahs of the noon prayer as long as it takes to recite thirty verses (of the Qur’an), such as A-L-M Tanzil al-Sajdah. And we estimated that he stood in the last two rak’ahs half the time he stood in the first two rak’ahs. We estimated that he stood in the first two rak’ahs of the afternoon prayer as long as he did in the last two at noon; and we estimated that he stood in the last two rak’ahs of the afternoon prayer half the time he did in first two.
