Sunan Abi Dawud 1987 – Über die ʿUmra

Überliefert von ʿAbdullah ibn ʿAbbās:

Bei Allah, der Gesandte Allahs (ﷺ) ließ ʿĀʾischa die ʿUmra im Dhū l-Hiddscha nicht ausführen, außer um die Praxis der Götzendiener – vor dem Islam in Arabien – abzuschaffen. Denn dieser Stamm der Quraisch und diejenigen, die ihnen folgten, pflegten zu sagen: Wenn das Fell des Kamels reichlich geworden ist, die Wunden auf den Rücken der Kamele verheilt sind und der Monat Safar beginnt, ist die ʿUmra für denjenigen erlaubt, der sie ausführt. Sie betrachteten die Ausführung der ʿUmra als verboten, bis die Monate Dhū l-Hiddscha und al-Muharram vergangen waren.

By Allah, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not make Aisha perform umrah during Dhul-Hijjah but to discontinue the practice of the idolaters (in Arabia before Islam), for this clan of Quraysh and those who followed them used to say: When the fur of the camel abounds, and the wounds on the back of the camels are recovered and the month of Safar begins, umrah becomes lawful for one who performs umrah. They considered performing umrah unlawful till the months of Dhul-Hijjah and al-Muharram passed away.
